Making character concepts with novel AI.

 So here are some character concepts made with novelAI, an art generation program. I find it very useful for my writing, because it's easier to get "up" with the view of your character. Midjourney and Stable diffusion are also examples of things you can use. So here are a few designs of Sandra, from "The Renter" who will be showing up in book two: Good, anime style image, that gets us her initial look, as an athletic college student. on the road, and you'll notice that she has a lacking face. Remember that AI art right now is early days. It's not ready for prime time--you'd either spend a lot of time working on a single picture, or expect a lot of "good for reference, not for pay publishing" pictures.  And here she is in the hallway: Um, maybe a bit young, but... again, it's a reference drawing. Playing around with AI images.

 For those of us who don't have a budget, this looks to be pretty exciting. Not gonna say how much money I wasted on fan art, but it also helps in visualizing characters.  Make no mistake, this isn't going to replace artists. Seriously, it isn't. The programs have lots of issues, and for someone wanting something specific, running through hundreds of iterations is going to take more time and be less likely to work than just contracting with an artist.  But here we go with a character you may be seeing...

Another Short-stack Curse story coming up.

 Probably coming this week, 2.99, on Smashwords (I don't tend to put too much stuff on Amazon). I'm thinking of setting up a patreon, which would let people read it for free, but I'm not certain how people would like that.
